What happen during the Because Westwood Care Event

Westwood invited:

•             AIDS Health Foundation-offered free testing

•             American Red Cross- blood collection

•             Black Barbershop Health Outreach- information on diabetes, hypertension and wound care

•             Lupus Foundation-promoted upcoming Lupus Walk

•             LA Sex Symbol- free condoms

•             Meditation Workshop-Gave several guided meditations for stress relief

•             Providence Little Company of Mary- provided information about services

•             Sickle Cell Disease Awareness-screened for blood marrow donors

•             Westwood College Medical Assisting Students- screened for diabetes and hypertension

•             West Coast Dental- handed out free toothbrushes and information about services.

Statistics:

•             52 individuals donated blood

•             34 pint of blood

•             Saved 102 lives
